Does employer NPS reduce tax in the New Regime?
Yes. Eligible employer contribution to NPS under Section 80CCD(2) remains deductible in the New Regime. For FY 2026-27 the applicable limit is 14% of salary for all employer categories.
Does employee NPS get the same New Regime deduction?
No. This calculator specifically models eligible employer NPS under Section 80CCD(2), not an employee's own NPS contribution under 80CCD(1) or 80CCD(1B).
Does CTC equal my take-home salary?
No. CTC may include employer PF, employer NPS, gratuity, insurance, benefits and variable pay that are not regular monthly cash salary.
